ADS - Shipment Scheduling

ADS will forward schedule the planned ship and delivery dates for each shipment based on either sales order processing advanced preferences or transportation routing data depending on your configuration. Customer billing instructions for partial order and partial line delivery are also considered when scheduling shipments resulting in adherence to customer business rules.

  • Conventional Backorder Scheduling (Order Entry Availability Check Enabled)
    Backorders are created by JDE for quantities which are not available at the required pick date. ADS will use sales order processing advanced preferences for order preparation and delivery date to determine the preparation and transit lead times.
  • Full demand scheduling (Order Entry Availability Check Disabled)
    With the sales order entry availability checking processing disabled, ADS will perform full delivery scheduling for all sales order lines. With Transportation implemented ADS uses the preparation and transit lead time from the shipment routing step to forward schedule the ship and delivery dates. Warehouse, customer and carrier calendar processing is implemented when determining these dates.
